In the woods 2 male and a female Pied Flycatcher,a Spotted Flycatcher,Cuckoo,also had 4 male Redstarts . 5 Sand Martin also Swallows and 70 + House Martins over the pond

Drim to Harbour 3rd May.

A Spotted Flycatcher by the footbridge at the Drim was a year tick for me, at the Flagpoles hirundines more or less constantly coming in mostly Swallows but House & Sand Martin as well. On the Stena side a group of approx 10 Whimbrel kept getting disturbed from the rocks of the inner breakwater & decided enough was enough & flew over me sitting by the old Dive Centre & out towards Pencaer.

Garden 3rd May a.m.

Tresinwen & Strumble (02 May 16)

Marsh Harrier in off sea just before lunchtime - viewed from the bottom of my garden.  It flew up Good Hope valley.  Also one Whimbrel over the garden in the drizzle this morning.

Around the head today a steady passage of hirundines (60% Swallows, 30% House Martin, 10% Sand Martin).  No Whimbrels to be found anywhere which given recent sightings in Pembs was surprising.

Lots of Wheatear about today.

Strumble Head 2nd May.

Quite a good turnout for the Seatrust Porpoise watch & a good amount were seen albeit most were a little distant.
Hundreds of Hirundines present & at least 5 Swifts were seen. Manx Shearwaters coming past in big numbers by the time I left at 17.00 .

Flycatchers

A productive walk this afternoon at Llanychaer 2 male Pied Flycatchers,a Spotted Flycatcher,3 male Redstart and 20+Blackcaps most birds were fly catching from low branches over the river after insects over the river. The same walk this morning was very quite so whether these were migrants or summer resident birds I won't like to say.
