Porp's, Auks and Divers!
We decided to go on to Strumble as the sea conditions were so good and do a click count. Although the porpoises were not too close we managed to record quite a few sightings which gave an average of 29.25 for the hour which is pretty good for the time of the year. Better still we had a beautiful mother and small calf!
There were also at least a dozen winter plumage Red Throated Divers floating by on the tide, along with whirring strings of auks constantly passing by, some of the strings consisting of 100+ birds

Spring song???
Yesterday i awoke to a song thrush singing. With a hard frost and the Preseli's covered in snow it didn't feel much like spring! It occurred to me that an inability to work out what season it is might be the reason for their decline...
Two adult mute swans splashed down in the harbour yesterday but did not stay long.
